Days and nights of adda, dressing up in new threads, feasting and pandal hopping are the four main pillars of Bengal's Durga Pujo. However, it is pet pujo that has the upper hand for most people. With our biggest festival starting in a few days, the feast has to be lavish. These restaurants have lined up the best of Bengali, Chinese, Indian and Continental cuisines. Wish you all a happy bhuri bhoj!

JW Marriott

Marriott's Pujo special menu will take you on an indulgent food ride with traditional specials like Gondhoraj Fish Tikka, Echorer Dalna, Aam Kasundi Paneer, Posto Murgi, Mutton Roganjosh, Pulao, Dhokar Dalna, Stir Fry Asian Greens, MurghTariwala, Chingri Macher Malai Curry, Sorshe Maachh, Kolkata Chicken Biryani and Ghee Bhaat. Available both for lunch and dinner, the buffets are priced at INR 1,450 (plus taxes) and INR 1,650 (plus taxes), respectively.

For all you late night pandal hoppers out there, Marriott has also curated a midnight menu (12.30am- 3am). You get to appease your midnight hunger pangs for just INR 1,270 (plus taxes). Plus there's an unlimited alcohol offer for INR 999!

The Westin

The Westin has curated a Pujo-special menu, which not only includes authentic Bengali dishes but also Bengal’s favourites like Tangra Chinese, momo and thukpa. The main course includes an array of delectable dishes like Kosha Mangsho and Luchi, Shorshe Mach, Bhetki Paturi, Fish Kaalia, Mutton Curry, Mishti Pulao, Kolkata Biryani and Doi Murgi. For sweet endings there's Patishapta, Torched Rasogulla, live rabri counter and Makha Sandesh The buffet will be available for lunch and dinner and is priced at INR 1,599 plus taxes.

Oudh 1590

Head to Oudh 1590 this Pujo for some yummy Lucknowi treats. There's a host of kebab and biryani options like Paneer Suagndhi Kabab, Chicken Qalmi Kabab, Mutton Galawati Kabab, Awadhi Sugandhi Mahi, Awadhi Handi Biryani, Raan Biryani, Nehari Khas, Keema Kaleji, Gosht Bhuna, Murgh Irani, Subz Makhan Masala, Shahi Tukda and Phirni. A meal for two will cost you INR 1,000 plus taxes

Salt House

Drop in at Salt House with your squad to try their #pandaltotable Pujo menu, comprising quintessential street food faves with fusion tadka. Some of the must-haves are bakes puff pastry shingaras (spicy alu'r dam, green pea and cauliflower and irani chicken keema variants), pot-stickers aka dumplings, puchkas stuffed with beet, sour cream and bottle masala bhaja and another with truffle green pea hummus, edamame and feta. There's pujo-special mutton and chicken biryani thalis - nothing like the quintessential ones, so expect a whole lot of surprises. A meal for two is priced at INR 1,500. 

The Park

Rosewood Hall, The Bridge and Saffron restaurants at The Park will make your pujo bhoj into a mahabhoj. With dhakis, live performances and authentic Bengali food on the offer, you've got to save a Pujo day to treat yourself to this experiential meal. Available between October 4-8, the buffet and thalis are priced between INR 1,495 and INR 2,195 (plus taxes). Remember to get your reservations done!

Monkey Bar

If you're bored of the run-of-the-mill Bong dishes and craving for that extra spice, then head to Monkey Bar this Pujo. Go on a gastronomic journey with their Chena Ochayna menu, on till October 11. There's Rosogolla Chaat, Mangshor Jhuri Bhaja, Jaali Prawns, Mini Pantheras, Bhetki Bhatey, Telebhaja, Kochuri and Nolen Gur Panna Cotta. A meal for two will come for INR 1,100.

The Fatty Bao

This festive season The Fatty Bao has laid out authentic Chinese cuisines inspired from across the globe. Choose from Crispy Chilli Chicken with Chilli and Garlic Crumble, Crispy Chilli Cottage Cheese, Fried Noodles, Moo Shu Chicken, Fish Puff, Whole Baby Pomfret, Roasted Half Duck, Chinese Sausage & Bacon Fried Rice, and a special version of Chairman Mao’s Pork Belly. For the sweet tooth there's Chinese Egg Custard Tarts. On till October 13, a meal for two (minus alcohol) will cost you INR 1,500.

Pa Pa Ya

Load up Japanese cuisine this Pujo at Pa Pa Ya. The menu here includes Crispy Vegetable Maki, Dehydrated Spinach and Asparagus Cream Cheese Sushi and Japanese Roasted Eel Ura Maki Sushi. There are dimsums - assorted veg poached, edamame and chickpea open faced bao (veg) and chicken shao mai, poached braised lamb (non-veg) to name a few. Mains include Assorted Veggies in Hoisin Sauce, Stir Fried Noodles and Fish in Chilli oyster and Teppanyaki Fried Rice. End your meal with Strawberry & Peanut Butter Dome and Mochi Ice Cream. The menu is available from October 4 to 10 and a meal for two costs INR 1,200.

Yauatcha

Drop by Yauatcha between October 1 and 31 and try their festive-special menu consisting a delectable range of Cantonese cuisine. Take your pick from Prawn Wrapped in Chinese Cabbage with Black Pepper Sauce, Chicken and Basil Dumpling, Chicken and Prawn Cheung Fun. Don't miss the chef-recommended Vegetables Wrapped in Chinese Cabbage with Szechuan Sauce and Shanghai Siew Long Bun with Pork dimsum. One can enjoy the Hot and Crispy Tofu in Spicy Sauce, Stir-fry Chicken in Hubei Sauce and Steamed Snapper in Spicy Ganchoi Sauce. You must try the festive special cocktail comprising Orange Passion Jie Taipei. A meal for two is INR 1,500 plus taxes.

Vden and Bhoomi restaurants at the resort will serve authentic Bengali and North Indian cuisines from October 4 to 8. There's Fish in Oyster sauce, Dum Ka murgh , Kolkata Mutton Biriyani, Sorse Chingri Jhal , Methi Gosht, Tangra Style Fish Chilli and Coriander, Baked Rasgulla, Murshidabader Murgi, Bhoomir Kosha Mangsho, Dhakai Chingrir Malaikari, Aam Ada Bhapa Bhetki and Morich Bata Pabda. Ozora

Good food + stunning view = Ozora. Go on a date with your bae this festive season and try their Pujo-special menu which includes items like Roasted Garlic & Popcorn Soup, Grilled Jumbo Prawn, Bacon Wrapped Shrimps, Cilantro Chicken, Roasted Chilli Basil Lamb, Pomfret Tawa Fry, Subz Jaipuri and Veg Pulao. Dessert lovers should opt for Raspberry Cheesecake and Hazelnut Mousse. The menu is available from October 1-12 and a meal for two costs INR 2,000 plus taxes.

This quaint eatery has curated special buffets on all five days of Pujo from October 4-8. A meal for two costs INR 1,260.

Chowman

A plate of chowmein and chilli chicken is all we Bongs need while pandal hopping. Drop in at Chowman for their curated Chinese-special menu, which includes Manchow Soup with Chilli Mountain Lobster, Pepper Garlic Prawn, Chilli Wine Fish, Schezwan Orange Roasted Pork, Hong Kong Fish, General Tao’s Chicken, Chilli Honey Prawn, Fried Chilli Pork, Hot Garlic Lamb, Coriander Burnt Garlic, Egg rice with Szchezwan Mixed Vegetables with Baby Corn and Button Mushroom. The Shanghai Noodles with Hong Kong Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken will bring equal joy to your taste buds. Finish off with Toffee Walnut with Ice-Cream. Glook - The Sky Lounge

The newest addition to the list of sky lounges, Glook offers a stellar view of Kolkata skyline along with a delectable range of food. Their Pujo-special menu, available for both lunch and dinner from October 3-8, offers Gandhraj Kathi Murgi, Murgi Tempredo, Sarse Bhapa Daab Chingri, Gondolebur Ghol (beverage) , Live Counters (Italian / Mongolian), Matar Chutir Dhokar Dalna and Pan Gulkand Sandesh (dessert). For vegans the buffet is priced at INR 1,250 and INR 1,350 for non-vegetarians.
