Ever tried your hand at Pichwai painting? No? Well, here's your chance.
Pichwai is a traditional art form that originated in Rajasthan centuries ago. You basically paint devotional pictures on cloth but this one is slightly different. Arpita Dey, the artist, will teach you the basics of this rich art form using acrylics on paper. You'll need acrylic colours, black pen with a fine tip, pencil, eraser, brushes, colour pencils and drawing paper with a thickness of above 200 gsm.
A little bit about the artist - Arpita is a Kolkata-based artist who's had her artwork displayed at several exhibitions across the country, including the popular Kolkata Arts Lane Festival. Her art is inspired by the places she visits and the people she meets along the way.
Her guidance will help you create a Pichwai painting the easy way all on your own.
