Always loved the art in kids’ books? Think of framing the wonderful illustrations in books like Maurice Sendak’s, Satyajit Ray’s books for children or even Quentin Blake’s illustrations for Roald Dahl? You should consider signing up for the illustration course at The Riyaaz Academy For Illustrators. It’s in Bhopal sure but take some time off and follow your heart. It is a year-long course that will train you in illustrating children’s book.

Riyaaz is offering this course in collaboration with Ektara Takshila’s Centre For Children’ Literature And Art, a publishing centre dedicated to making literature available to all children. It will give you the opportunity to work with some of the best illustrators.

This course also prepares you in navigating the publishing world. During the programme you would get the opportunity to work with at least two publishers, participate in the World Book Fair and display your artwork in the year-end exhibition which is most often visited by the who’s who of the writing and the illustration world.

Applications for the course are open till May 15. The course fee is INR 40,000 (scholarships are available for need-based causes).
