What's Happening

History buffs! You're going to love this one.

Kolkata Explorers is organising a heritage walk to Metiabruz - our city's mini-Lucknow and you must sign up for it. Explore the empire of the exiled Nawab Wajid Ali Shah and get an insight into life as it was during the colonial era. The walk will cover the Oudh Royal family burial ground from outside, Shahi Masjid,  Quasrul-Buka-Imambara, Shahi Imambara (also known as Sibtainabad Imambara), Bichali Ghat, BNR House and Suriname Ghat.

Make sure you reach Peerless Hospital 15 min to half an hour in advance. It'll take the route to Science City, then over to Maa Flyover and then Kidderpore. If Peerless is far for you, you can ask to be picked up at any point along this route. The tour will start from the iconic New Chaturbhuj Mistanna Bhandar (you get to have breakfast here!) near Kidderpore More at 8 am.
