Located on the Gariahat Crossing, Miss Ginko will stun you with its aesthetically pleasing and minimal interiors. We weren’t prepared to witness the beauty of this place when we walked along that dimly lit corridor that leads one inside the bar cum restaurant.
Done up predominantly in shades of white, brown, and emerald green, Miss Ginko boasts of a massive glass house that will make you feel like you’re in Spain. The indoor space comprises a DJ console, a bar, beautiful wall murals, and a seating arrangement consisting of community tables, sofas, and high chairs. It is spacious and looks ethereal making it an ideal spot for a quiet meal, date night, or work.
Coming to the food, the menu comprises Chinese, Japanese, and Korean dishes along with some amazing cocktails and dessert. It includes a wide array of soups, dim sum, baos, small plates, mains, and different varieties of rice and noodles. If you’re a dim sum person, you must try the Zhang Jiao Dim sum, a vegetarian option prepared in Cantonese style. We also loved the Spring Rolls with a filling of spinach and cheese, Pad Krapao Lamb, Ebi Fry (crispy fried prawns served with potato salad, prawn egg flakes, and tonkatsu sauce), and Gai Tak Krai (grilled chicken flavoured with lemongrass).
For mains, Jjigae Stew with jasmine Rice is a great option for vegetarians, while non-vegetarians can go for their lobster dishes, Whole Bhetki in a sauce of your choice, Taiwanese Lamb or Chicken Katsu Curry. They also have a couple of crab dishes if that’s what you like. Enjoy them with a side of Tom Yum or Kimchi fried rice or Spicy Vietnamese Noodles and you’re sorted for the day. If you like rice noodles, Phat Mi Khorat is a must-try.
Gobble it all down with Bees Knees, a cocktail made of pure honey along with gin. And since no meal is complete without dessert, we suggest you end your meal on a sweet note by trying their Thai Custard or Cassava Cake (Filipino-style moist cake).
