Nolen Gur To Gondhoraaj: Get Ice Creams With A Bengali Twist At This Parlour On Lansdowne

Ten-Second Takeaway

Bored with the same old chocolate, vanilla, strawberry ice cream flavours? Head to Pabrai’s for some unusual flavours.

Vanilla No More

They are known for their unique, natural ice creams and have a variety of unconventional flavours to choose from. The best part is that they do not use any artificial flavours or colours.

Kolkata On My Palate

Pabrai’s has the usual choco chip, vanilla and butterscotch flavours. But we suggest you go for the very unusual and very Kolkata flavours like nolen gur – so creamy and light, and reminiscent of the special kind of winter jaggery that Bengal is famous for! We also loved the gondhoraaj one, it is like a take on a light limoncello with a touch of that kafir lime kind of flavours that Kolkata’s gondhoraj lemon packs.

The chandan ice cream takes some time to get used to. You can also try the mishti paan and daab {tender coconut}. Prices begin from INR 60.

So, We’re Saying…

If you feel like taking a break from the usual parlours serving vanilla stuff, head here with your gang.
