Craving grills and sizzlers? Opened recently in August this year, Ekdalia Cocina in Ballygunge is probably going to be our next stop if we are thinking meat of any kind. We suggest you try it out too.

We wanted to fulfill our long-suppressed craving for Continental grills and steaks, and Ekdalia Cocina came as a blessing. Don't confuse it with Ekdalia Road because this is a completely separate entity, even though the location is the same old Ballygunge address.

And what do they have to offer? An east to west breakfast option. Depending on your mood and appetite, you can choose from the meat loaded breakfast platter, mini platter and pancakes with fresh fruits or chocolate sauce, or go for the good ol' dosa and aloo parathas.

But we have to say the star attraction is the section dedicated to red meat. Give your taste buds a joy ride with the Bacon Wrapped Chicken, Crispy Pork, Grilled Pork Chop, Mustard Honey Pork Belly, Lamb Steak, Pork Sizzler and Lamb Chop. And if your loyalty lies to chicken and fish, they have fulfilling options such as Fish n Chips, Fish Francaise, Grilled Chicken, Chicken Francaise and Whole Chicken Roast. We don't mind these calories, honestly!
