If you are looking to carry around your day-to-day essentials in style, Papercup’s range of backpacks are on point and easy on the eyes and shoulders.
If your go-to outfits aren’t exactly bright, you have to add a few funky coloured accessories. Kolkata-based start-up Papercup’s fresh range of summer backpacks are a great way to bring some colour saturation in your wardrobe.
Made with a combination of screen-printed cotton fabric and leather, they are perfect for work and play. They are roomy enough with a laptop sleeve inside — big enough to carry a 17cm (diagonal measurement) laptop, and a small chain pocket. It also comes with a flap pocket at the front which saves time rummaging.
Papercup’s in-house product designer Pritha Sengupta has designed these. She has done leather design from NIFT, New Delhi, and takes care of travel accessories for the company. They have used variations of colour — bright yellow for people who like bold colours, and the understated blues and greens for the less experimental ones. They are for anyone who is young at heart.
Pritha said it’s advisable to handwash the bags and avoid water on the leather part. Dry clean is preferred. And avoid damp, store in a dry area. The leather they have sourced has a recycle concept — it’s export surplus leather sourced from Kolkata’s leather industry. The bags retail for INR 1,999.
