Pappadam should be your new destination for some authentic coastal food, if you want to deviate from the regular Chinese and Mughlai.

What Makes It Awesome

Pappadam takes you on a roller coaster of varied tastes with a lot to offer – ranging from Goan, Keralan, Mangalorean, Chettinad and Malabari cuisine. With a chest full of coastal treasure, the décor will take you back to the pages of Malgudi Days. Do take a dig at their chicken and mutton mangalorean ghee roast with appam, their counterpart of roti, which resembles uttapam. Try their neer dosa, also called water dosa with the chicken chettinad or pork vindaloo (both of them are on the spicy side). Indulge in succulent pieces of meat with the chicken and mutton malabar curry served with the traditional Malabar paratha, another famous staple from Kerala, which is softer yet crispier than your regular paratha

If you are not much of a meat fan, then their seafood section is worth drooling over. They have an enviable line-up but their crab masala curry without shell and squid kali mirch are definite recommendations from our side. Apart from that, you can also try their pomphret moilee, bhetki/pomphret goan curry and squid chettinad with curd or lemon rice. Crab lovers can also rejoice themselves in crab recheado, which is a Goan delicacy cooked with special spices and Goan vinegar. Another Goan gem is pork sorpotel, which apparently hails from the former Portuguese colonies of Goa!

Pro-Tip

They also offer express lunch combos (with as many 15) starting from INR 150.
