What Is It?

To celebrate the monsoons, The Fatty Bao Kolkata has announced the ‘Raining Ramen’ fest where they will be serving a wide variety of ramen and soupy noodles from across Asia and we decided to sample the menu.

Who Is It For?

Anyone who thinks soupy noodles is soul food and wants to try out Asian food.

Why Should I Go For It?

What could be more comforting in the monsoons than a nice, big bowl of soupy noodles? There are a ton of different options too, from Mee Bakso, which is Indonesian beef meatball and noodle soup, to Kamo Negi Ramen which is made with duck, and for pork lovers there’s the Pork Paitan Ramen, made with soba noodles and amazingly tender, roasted pork belly.

Vegetarian? No worries, the guys have you covered as well, with the Green Tea Ramen. You’ll find all kinds of different noodles as well, from the Japanese ramen, to Pad Thai and even our perennial favourite Maggi! A special highlight is the rich and flavourful broth.

Anything Else?

Love North Eastern food? We recommend the Pork Paitan Ramen served with bamboo shoots. Like it spicy? The chefs can adjust the heat of each dish based on your preference, and you even make your own dish, putting together your favourite ingredients into one unique, personalised noodle soup.
