Cloakroom lets you scribble on their blackboard like-wall and hang your travel photos up too {and they have lots of exciting new things planned before Pujo, so drop in!}.

Tell Me More

Cloakroom Café is one of the many new additions to South Kolkata’s café list and apart from its super fun, eclectic, bright décor {we love the string of happy yellow coffee mugs strung above the door}, they also have a range of travel posters from the owners personal collection. We love that the the floor to the ceiling is covered in a special paint that makes the wall seem like a blackboard… and they let you scribble on it with coloured chalk! Which other eating hub has their menu displayed on the walls – like actually handwritten in chalk directly on to the walls!

They’re also looking to add more awesome stuff to the décor on the walls and you can help! If you want your photographs {travel and food ones especially!} displayed, drop in to Cloakroom with hard copies of them, ask for Utsha and she’ll be happy to hang them up on the few empty spaces that remain. Then stand back and watch as people ogle at your work and go red with pride!

Anything Else?

A little birdie told us lots of awesome things are in the pipeline including new menu items {coffee is definitely on the list of new additions!} such as finger food, nachos and sandwiches, shakes, and more dessert {because there’s no such thing as too much dessert!}. Lots more of the ‘café’ vibe rather than the ‘formal restaurant’ feel is expected and we can’t wait to see the transition which will be here probably before Pujo {fingers crossed!}.
