From casuals to parties, a comfy kurta is one staple item in our wardrobe which can save your day. Our hunt for versatile kurtas paused at September Spring boutique, tucked away on Little Russel Street.
Giving an interesting twist to kurta - probably the most underrated piece of garment in a woman's closet - is September Spring run by an indie designer Divya Kejriwal. This small and intimate store has many different styles to pick from, most of them perfect for your 9-to-5 look.
Their handloom cotton long kurtas come in trendy styles. Checks are one vintage print that is still all the rage. Score them with a fusion twist here. Or opt for their satin kurtas which can also serve as an elegant one-piece dress, available in beautiful pastel hues. While denim on denim is an in thing, we came across denim cotton kurtas here, perfect for summers. You can also find some limited cape kurtas here which go well paired with western tees. With a limited stock on display each dress at the store is one-of-a-kind and available in free size.
They also do customised orders including limited edition hand embroidery on the fabric of your choice. Most of the kurtas are placed between INR 4,500 to INR 7,500, and the some of the more exclusive designs can go up to INR 22,500.
