Learn the traditional Bengal art of shola at the Green Ivory exhibition happening at ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations)) at Ho Chi Minh Sarani from July 17 to 19. Shola is a delicate, spongy and milky white plant found in the moist and marshy lands of Bengal. The reeds of the plant are used to make decorative products.
Variations of unexplored decorative and contemporary products of the shola craft will be on display in an attempt to revive the art and take it forward. Students can enroll for workshops as well. So, make sure you're there. Entry is free.
