Shoshan Kali (Shamshan Kali)

Happening inside the Keoratala Shamshan or burning ghat, this is one of the oldest Kali pujos in Kolkata and is a must-visit if you want to tick off the major ones from your checklist. The ambience in itself is a little spooky, yet adventurous. You will see people chanting goddess Kali's name in the middle of the night, when the aarti takes place. Unlike other places, the idol here is black in colour instead of blue.
