Say hello to Sorano—the newest Italian restaurant on the block that will teleport you to Italy with its food and aesthetics. High ceilings, huge fabric lights, white-washed walls, soothing textures, lots of plants, an alfresco balcony and European-style arched windows with beautiful light streaming in make up the interiors of the place radiating a calm and peaceful vibe away from the chaos of the city.
Sorano was born out of sheer love for Italian food and all things handmade. All their pastas, pizzas, and other delicacies are handmade and cooked using traditional Italian methods. The restaurant uses a wood-fire oven to churn out the most delicious and mouth-watering pizzas we’ve eaten in a long time. Their aim is to make their customers experience the simplicity of authentic Italian food cooked by mothers and grandmothers in their homes in Italy.
A few must-try dishes include chicken Milanese, gnocchi ripie, antipasti veg platter, salmon filet, sage & passion fruit cured anchovies and smoked tomato carpaccio. We loved the ravioli con quattro formaggio al tartufo—it’s made using four kinds of cheese in a rich, buttery and creamy sauce with truffle shavings. The boards (antipasti and cheese platters) and burrata bowls are delicious too.
Do not miss out on the limon meringue—a limoncello-based cocktail with meringue. And, of course, a meal can never be complete without dessert. We highly recommend the deconstructed tiramisu and the chocolate and raspberry tart.
