Spencer’s has one of the best food courts in town {rivaled the messy upstairs one, for sure}. The best thing here is the amazing choice you have – dosa-idli-vada, phuchka, sandwiches, pasta, calzones, momos, shawarmas, Chinese food, biryani, cutlets and fries.

Our favourite is the Flurys counter which has an all-day breakfast, a mean BLT and great coffee and cakes. Special mention must go to the kabiraji cutlets at the Bijoli Grill counter. And the shawarma available here is the best in town!

Both Pantaloons and Shoppers Stop outlets are open. They have a range of festive wear with intricate embroideries and matching dupattas from brands like Biba and W. At Shoppers Stop,  You can get a free facial at the Clarins counter – if you buy a product. You can also head across to Gaatha for cotton sarees with zari borders and men’s kurtas and jackets in tasteful, single colours without any loud embroidery.

If you’ve been meaning to pick up a camera for a while or a laptop or mobile phone, head to E-Zone. They have some great deals going on. You can also check out the section on home appliances – especially the Kitchen Aid range {with blenders beginning at around INR 12,990}. The electric kettles with quaint and cosy floral prints are very retro.

Next door is Fundamentals which sells a good selection of TVs, phones, household ACs and other electronic goods.

Bhagwati stocks a range of consumer electronics that you won’t find elsewhere – like that music player with the old radio look released by Sa Re Ga Ma. With over 5,000 old Hindi film songs and the original recordings of Bianca Geetmala, it’s the perfect present for your folks.

Camera enthusiasts can head to Canon for the latest models and bags and other accessories.

Looking for the perfect frame for your face? Himalaya Opticals have a great selection of locally-made, affordable ones as well as a high-end range {Oakley, Gucci etc}. Across the store is the Titan showroom – the perfect place for buying a proper watch, one that shows you’ve made the effort, that you’re no longer content telling the time from your mobile! You can explore a collection of quartz and digital watches {also fitness bands} including elegant pieces that make for great birthday or wedding presents.

Have you checked out the organic vegetables section at Spencer’s yet? They have fresh, fragrant greens, small cucumbers, baby carrots and a variety of potatoes that you won’t get in the markets. Now that the weather has turned nice and pleasant, you could equip yourself for a picnic with a loaf of freshly-baked bread, some mozzarella cheese, and a pick from their selection of imported pastas, sauces, condiments and cold cuts.

At Shoppers Stop, you can pick up cushion covers, bed and table linen, and a great range of crockery and kitchenware. Spencer’s too has a nice range – they are one of the few outlets that still stock the old blue-and-white ovenware from Domit.
