What Is It?
Kolkata, it’s time to make the most of the evening kal boishakhis and what better than at an open-air, live music concert? Head out on Sunday to listen to two Indo-French bands, Tritha Electric and Luis Trio.
Why Should I Go?
You can listen to Tritha Electric’s fusion sounds inspired by the German Krautrock of the 1970s and by Indian Classical and Folk Melodies. The band is from Paris and New Delhi formed in 2010 by Tritha Sinha {vocals} and Paul Schneiter {drums}, and Mathias Durand {electric guitar}. They play an explosive blend of psychedelic rock. The Luis Trio is a project formed and conceptualised by French musician Loic Sanlaville. Originally set in jazz elements from 2011, the project has since grown to acquire its own style with a hip hop sound.
