Luxurious pool, world-class fitness centre, extravagant buffet: here are all the reasons you need to book a room at The Westin for your next staycation.

    Chill At The Lobby

This is Kolkata’s only hotel lobby with a library — the shelves have tons of popular fiction books and classics. You can also admire the 105 feet art on the wall – a tasteful and minimalist depiction of Durga, it’s an ode to the city.

    Lounge By The Pool

Overlooking the cityscape, the pool is a gorgeous open space flanked by pool chairs on both sides, a poolside bar – it’s the perfect way to spend a day outdoors. You’ll even get service near the pool so Cosmos while lounging and looking out at the water and snacking on small plates isn’t out of the question.

    Ride The Great Glass Elevator

Even the elevator ride at Westin is exciting. The glass elevator gives you an aerial view of the lobby. You can even admire the giant durga mural as you ride up.

    Be Fit & Healthy

The Westin is known for their gym and wellness centre. Although the spa is still in the works, you can take full advantage of the gym — the instructor is praised by all — as well as the curated healthy menus available.

    Rooms With A View

The rooms at the Westin have the most glorious views of the city {you didn’t know Kolkata could be so magnificent}. Some of the rooms facing Eco Park will give you a view of acres of greenery splattered by the new ‘7 Wonders of the World’ replicas. The city-facing rooms have a spectacular view of the city-scape.

The rooms, although not extremely large, are well designed to give you plenty of opportunity to admire the view. And each room also a has a bathtub that’ll let you really unwind.

    Dine At The Buffet

We can sense that this buffet will become amongst the most popular in the city. An extravagant dessert bar with over 25 kinds of sweet dishes on offer, live counters, multiple Indian counters, an Italian section to die for, their open-seating, spacious buffet dining is absolute lunch goals.

    Anything Else?

The drive from the main part of the city to the Westin is also very enjoyable. The Eco Park is a stone’s throw away so you can take full advantage of that {check out our guide to the park here}.
