Last weekend I was lucky to be invited to a blogger’s meet at the newly opened Cafe HQ. Being a big comic book fan, I was already excited to get this invite and my excitement peaked as I approached the cafe and saw the walls full of comic book themed posters full of Superheroes. The decor is very on point and once can tell right away that they are in a comic book themed cafe. The service is also amazing with the staff and the owners being very courteous and helpful.
Every dish was named after a superhero and many of them were plated up in ways to suit their name which added to the aesthetics of the place. Food too was quite good and enjoyable. A very hip place for kids and young adults of the city to go to I’d definitely say.
Thai Crispy Spring Rolls, Singapore Fried Wantons both came hot and crispy with spicy dips lifting the flavors of the respective dishes and would be my recommendation among the starters. Chicken Roulade, Thanos’ Steak, Superman Burger and the Spidey web Grilled Chicken Pizza(which came with a Spider-Man web Mayo design on top nonetheless) would be my picks from the main course and they were all big and meaty and delicious. Chinese food lovers they’ve even got you covered as the Mixed Singapore Noodles, Chicken Ginger and Capsicum Fried Rice were all great options and the Thai Red Curry made a great complement to them. All of these food options need drinks to accompany them and they’ve got drinks based on the 7 infinity stones from Marvel nonetheless. Green Apple Mojito and Creamy Hot Chocolate were the standout drinks for me from their selection. After all of these choices, you get even more in the form of desserts. Red Velvet Cake, Caramel Custard, Walnut Brownie and the Tiramisu were all standouts, especially the Tiramisu.
