The credit for starting a culture of artisanal ice-cream in the city should go to The Fat Little Penguin.
Located in Palm Avenue, This brand has curated a unique menu of homemade ice creams, iced floats, refreshing sherbets and creamy sorbets. The authentic homemade flavours are blended with the goodness of fresh ingredients that is healthy and tastes way better than your store-bought ice creams and desserts! Their flavours include both classics with a swirl of quirk as well as innovative and fun flavours, all homemade with strict adherence to hygiene and safety precautions.
They keep reshuffling the menu as well adding new flavours with each new season. I am a Nutella addict, so their Lotsa Nutella flavour on the menu was too hard to resist. So creamy and delicious that it felt like heaven packed in a small jar! Prefer salty over sweet, even if it's an ice-cream? They have just the flavour for you. Try the Salted Caramel Rush. It has a lush, luxurious mouthfeel and is loaded with chunks of almond praline and surprise pockets of caramel sauce. Craving for something lip puckering-ly fruity? Lavender & Passionfruit is what you are looking for. A mild fragrance of lavender looms throughout this infused ice-crea, with swirls of a sweet, tarty passionfruit curd. We tried and loved Brownie Points - a malted milk chocolate ice cream with generous chunks of brownie and a dark fudge swirling through (yum!)
What's more? On the first and third Monday of every month, they take orders for special dietary needs. You can score your keto, vegan or lactose-free ice-creams on those days.
