Hum Tum

This one remains one of our favourite movies of all time. This Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee starrer traces the lives and journey of Karan and Rhea who meet on a flight only to begin hating each other. They continue to run into each other over the course of several years and at different stages in life. Eventually, their relationship with each other changes and they fall in love. 

Jab We Met

Chances are you've already seen it umpteen number of times. If you haven't, watch it now! You can't possibly give this Imtiaz Ali blockbuster a miss. Aditya, a depressed business tycoon, boards a train in an attempt to run away from life, meets the super chirpy and full-of-life Punjabi kudi Geet and gets dragged into a crazy roller coaster ride thanks to the latter who believes in living life on her own terms.

Dil Chahta Hai

This one is a classic! This iconic film redefined friendship and love for the world and made the Chapora Fort in Goa a must-visit for our own versions of that famous shot of the three friends (Saif, Aamir and Akshaye) sitting on the rocks overlooking the Vagator Beach. The film revolves around the life and changing equations of three pals who go their own ways after college.

Jaane Tu Ya... Jaane Na

Another slice-of-life romcom that you just can't miss. It's the story of best friends Jai and Aditi played by Imran Khan and Genelia D'souza, who are made for each other but don't know themselves. They refuse to get into a romantic relationship until they start dating other people only to realise that they're in love with each other. The film has several moments that'll make you laugh and cry.

Love Aaj Kal

Another Imtiaz Ali film that made us both laugh and cry. The film traces the story of Jai and Meera who meet and start dating only to part ways to focus on their respective careers. But not without a break-up party, guys! But they keep finding their way back to each other through success , failure and heartbreak and eventually realise that they'd been in love all along.

Socha Na Tha

This film by Imtiaz Ali, without a doubt, takes the cake. Viren (Abhay Deol) and Aditi's (Ayesha Takia) story made us believe in love all over again and hope for our own happily ever after. They meet through their families for a marriage alliance but reject each other. But they secretly become friends while their families are at loggerheads. Things get complicated with both of them getting engaged to different people only to realise that they are in love.

Cheeni Kum

Possibly our favourite R Balki film, Cheeni Kum revolves around Buddhadev Gupta, a 64-year-old chef played by Amitabh Bachchan, who falls in love with Nina (Tabu), a software engineer 30 years younger to her. The performances and simple moments in the film will warm your heart and leave you with happy tears.

Hasee Toh Phasee

This one is a cute and crazy love story based in the city of dreams - Mumbai. Starring Parineeti Chopra and Siddharth Malhotra, Hasee Toh Phasee is the story of Nikhil, who is under the illusion that he's in love with his girlfriend of seven years and wants to marry her. Until he meets his girlfriend's crazy geeky sister Meeta and forges a bond with her. 

Wake Up Sid

Wake Up Sid, directed by Ayan Mukherjee, revolves around a rich spoilt college-going brat named Siddharth Mehra and an independent and responsible aspiring writer Aisha who meet each other at a party and hit it off instantly. Siddharth (Ranbir Kapoor) learns to become more responsible thanks to his ambitious friend, played efforlessly by Konkona Sen Sharma.

Happy Bhag Jayegi

Happy Bhag Jayegi is one fun ride that'll keep you laughing at all times. Happy (Diana Penty) is one fiesty woman who flees her own wedding to marry Guddu (Ali Fazal), the love of her life. But, all hell breaks loose when she mistakenly lands at the house of a Pakistani politician (Abhay Deol), who helps her reunite with her love.
