Kolkata people! You can now catch a glimpse of the popular Pujo pandals while avoiding crowds thanks to the famous Kolkata tram service.
Yep! The government has rolled out special air-conditioned trams on Saptami and Navami so you can take a ride to see the most amazing and renowned Pujo pandals in the city. The special heritage trams, being operated by the West Bengal Transport Corporation, will not only show you around the pandals and iconic landmarks but also play dhak music and serve snacks through the journey, according to media reports. You will also have access to free WiFi! A guide will also be on-board so you can know all you want about the festival and the city.
The ride will cost INR 500 per person. Kids below the age of five aren't allowed. Also, you won't be allowed to board the tram if you aren't wearing a mask.
