The Country Focus of the 23 rd Kolkata International Film Festival is the UK, and as a part of the UK Retrospective – Michael Winterbottom, KIFF will be screening six of Winterbottom’s best films yet. Trishna consists of a cast studded by Indian stars like Frieda Pinto and is set in contemporary Rajasthan, narrating the story of one woman whose life is destroyed by a combination of love and circumstances.
