Music is definitely your mojo and you're a woman who aspires to do great in the electronic music scene? It's time to say thanks to Wild City and Zee's Coffeeshop and head there without delay for a session of free practice.
Wild City's been taking the music scene in the country by storm, and their 'Women in Electronic Music' project (started since last year December) has been encouraging hundreds of women to come forward and be a part of the electronic music scene (production to CDJ-ing). In collaboration with the British Council, Kolkata had its first of its kind workshop with musician Varun Desai.
Have you been a part of it or did you miss out on it? The case can be either, but if you're a woman musician who's been looking for a place to practice CDJ-ing, then it's time to hit Zee's Coffeeshop. Starting this month, Wild City is organising regular sessions for women who want to practise with CDJs. You can head over to Zee's at Mayfair Road to get familiar with the instrument. The only coffee shop in the city with a turntable and other professional music equipment, Zee's will make room for you to have free practice sessions, for the next couple of months. Bring your friends or come alone (with or without your equipment), you have free access to hone your skills.
