Dawat-e-Kashmir in New Town, Rajarhat, is a Kashmiri fantasy presented on a plate.Their Wazwan is the ultimate foodgasmic dish, with haakh, waza paneer that is incredibly silky, and nadru yakhni, where lotus stems melt into a creamy yoghurt gravy. Next are the crispy, spice-marinated lamb ribs known as tabak maaz, which should be accompanied with a warning because they are highly addictive. Not to mention the yakhni, which is flavourful, rich, and essentially the gastronomic equivalent of a homely winter aesthetic. You know where to go if you enjoy soul food, slow living, and meals that tell a story.
