Just like you can't choose between mama and mashi, we Kolkatans will always fail to pick between the cutlet and the dimsums. So, this Poila Boishak instead of going to mamarbari, we are heading out to Yauatcha for a sumptuous spread of Chinese fares with a twist of our fave Bengali flavours.
A whole course ala carte spread, specially curated for the Noboborsho, the dishes play around our faves of sorshe, mango, gondhoraj and hibiscus into dumplings, mains of rice and noodles with sides of fish and pork, drinks and desserts. We are always doolally for dumplings and the prawn gondhoraj dumpling kept us drooling for more, as was the hibiscus chicken one. The wild shrimp fried rice though doesn't go well with the tangy bhetki, but if had alone they'll refresh the palate just like spring does to the city. Sign the deal off with the gondhoraj sorbet ice cream and you'll have the best of both your loves.
Prices start at INR 350. The spread will be available only till the end of the month.
