From Pet-Friendly To Diet-Friendly: Did You Know About These 5 Amazing Cafes In Aundh?

Divya posted on 14 March

Aundh has really come into it’s own, with a bustling food and entertainment scene that’s enough to rival the likes of Koregaon Park. There’s an eatery or activity for everyone, and plenty of ways to spend your free time. Cosy up with a book, enjoy a slice of cake, or have a meal with your four-legged fur-baby at these Cafes you might have missed, in Aundh.

Bee's Cafe

Bee’s Cafe is a joint venture between friends Bhakti and Shruti – who both quit their corporate jobs to explore entrepreneurship in the food world. The cafe’s name is dedicated to – you guessed it, bees – those hardworking insects that make everyone else look lazy. Their menu features comfort food for every mood – from omelette and toasts, to waffles, maggi, sandwiches, salads, fried munchies, pasta, hot and cold drinks, and a couple of desserts. Cute and cosy, Bee’s Cafe is great for quiet reading, working, or a coffee-date!

Cafe Denj

Cafe Denj is a tiny Iranian cafe, serving a mix of savouries, sweets, and beverages – all lovingly hand-written on their menu. With stand-outs like Turkish coffee {the real deal, we’re assured}, chili mocha, and Persian saffron tea, a special ‘relaxation tea’, and Denj’s special tea, there are plenty of soothing drinks to try here. For the hungry, we’ve heard their signature ‘Denj omelette’ {made Iranian-style, with potatoes}, cream-puffs, and the churro-esque Nutella rolls are what you should order.

Cafe Old Skool

A little over 6 years old, Cafe Old Skool has been a go-to for many in Aundh, owing to its retro vibes and lip-smacking good fare. The menu lists eggs {go for the Old Skool Combo}, salads, pasta, nachos, and sandwiches – though they told us that customers can also customise their sandwiches with the fillings and sauce of their {your} choice. Customise their veg or chicken ‘Double Decker’ sandwich for the ultimate combo. Their beverage menu covers three pages, but we suggest you go right for their greatest hits: the ‘Eiskafee’ – a blend of vanilla ice cream and espresso coffee, and the ‘Old Skool Special’ – their signature frappe: a blend of coffee beans, chocolate chips, ice cream, and coffee. Cold-coffee lovers, rejoice!

Guilt Free Eats Cafe

For the health-conscious, or those with dietary restrictions {keto, gluten-free, sugar-free, etc.} – Guilt Free Eats is a must-visit. Don’t let the ‘health food’ tag scare you off, they serve everything from veggies and eggs, to chicken, bacon, and fish – all with a healthy twist, of course. The menu is extensive, and we’ve not seen this much diversity on a health-food menu before, that’s for sure! Choose from eggs, fresh-tossed salads, sandwiches, flat-breads {their alternative to pizza}, substantial mains, smoothie bowls, desserts, and beverages. Try their balsamic chicken and bell pepper salad, Burmese curry, tropical smoothie bowl, and blueberry cheesecake delight. They also offer home-delivery via the usual suspects, so if you can’t go out, you can order in.
