Aundh has really come into it’s own, with a bustling food and entertainment scene that’s enough to rival the likes of Koregaon Park. There’s an eatery or activity for everyone, and plenty of ways to spend your free time. Cosy up with a book, enjoy a slice of cake, or have a meal with your four-legged fur-baby at these Cafes you might have missed, in Aundh.

Bee's Cafe

Bee’s Cafe is a joint venture between friends Bhakti and Shruti – who both quit their corporate jobs to explore entrepreneurship in the food world. The cafe’s name is dedicated to – you guessed it, bees – those hardworking insects that make everyone else look lazy. Their menu features comfort food for every mood – from omelette and toasts, to waffles, Maggi, sandwiches, salads, fried munchies, pasta, hot and cold drinks, and a couple of desserts. Cute and cosy, Bee’s Cafe is great for quiet reading, working, or a coffee date.

Cafe Denj

Cafe Denj is a tiny Iranian cafe, serving a mix of savouries, sweets, and beverages – all lovingly hand-written on their menu. With stand-outs like Turkish coffee {the real deal, we’re assured}, chilli mocha, and Persian saffron tea, a special ‘relaxation tea’, and Denj’s special tea, there are plenty of soothing drinks to try here. For the hungry, we’ve heard their signature ‘Denj omelette’ {made Iranian-style, with potatoes}, cream-puffs, and the churro-esque Nutella rolls are what you should order.

Cafe Old Skool

A little over 6 years old, Cafe Old Skool has been a go-to for many in Aundh, owing to its retro vibes and lip-smacking good fare. The menu lists eggs {go for the Old Skool Combo}, salads, pasta, nachos, and sandwiches – though they told us that customers can also customise their sandwiches with the fillings and sauce of their {your} choice. Customise their veg or chicken ‘Double Decker’ sandwich for the ultimate combo. Their beverage menu covers three pages, but we suggest you go right for their greatest hits: the ‘Eiskafee’ – a blend of vanilla ice cream and espresso coffee, and the ‘Old Skool Special’ – their signature frappe: a blend of coffee beans, chocolate chips, ice cream, and coffee. Cold-coffee lovers, rejoice!

Cafe Joshua

Cafe Joshua is named for the eponymous friendly Labrador who will also greet you when you visit. A quiet place to hang with your fur-baby, Cafe Joshua’s menu is both people and pet-friendly. Pick from an all-day breakfast menu, pasta, sandwiches, and hot/cold beverages {for yourself} and scrambled/boiled eggs, bread/toast, rice, and other delicious treats for your doggo. Pick something to read from their book rack, and enjoy their al-fresco seating with your pet. We hear the carrot cake here is delicious!

Cafe Buddy's Espresso

Cafe Buddy's Espresso in Aundh is a great place to unwind with your friends. Buddy's Espresso is a chain of cafes that has rapidly spread in many areas of the city. You can sip on some delicious cold beverages and coffee-infused drinks while munching on sandwiches, burgers, fries, pizzas, desserts and much more. The cafe is super pet-friendly and more than often you will find many other pet owners bringing their four legged friends along to this cafe.
