He is also India's first and currently the only professor of the Djembe certified by Tam Tam Mandingue International (a school set up by Grandmaster djembefola Mamady Keïta), Pune. The Djembe is a universal symbol of joy and is widespread in West - Africa and now, the world. Music, song and dance is synonymous to life and every rhythm played has a history and traditional significance in society.
