Rajmachi is a famous trekking destination in the Sahyadri mountains and it's apt for beginners too. The fort stands at a height of 2750 feet overlooking the Bhorghat Pass (a major old trade route during Maratha empire). This fort was built by Shivaji in the 17th century and you can spend lots of time exploring twin forts Manoranjan and Shrivardhan too. Visit Bhairavnath Temple, Mahadev Temple and Rajmachi lake. There are two routes to reach Rajmachi, first from Lonavala and other being Karjat route.
