This Beautiful Resort Has Only 5 Rooms & Here's Why You Need To Book Yours

What Is It?

Ambrosia Resort and Spa is a quiet getaway from busy city life; tucked away in the by-lanes of Bawdhan, on the Pune-Paud Road. Started by the San-Mahu Education and Research Society, the resort is adjacent to the Ambrosia Institute of Hospitality Management (AIHM).

What Did I Like?

Ambrosia houses 5 standard AC rooms for accommodation, which will cost you INR 3000 per night for single occupancy, or INR 4000 per night for double occupancy (taxes extra). Since they only have 5 rooms, they don’t take online bookings – but you can call them directly a couple of days before your intended stay, to make the reservation. Ambrosia is one of our favourite spots for some peace. Unfortunately, their spa is currently under maintenance but we were told, it will be operational again, soon enough. With three fully operational restaurants: Amalfi, Frangipani, Xanadu; and two cafes – Ambrosia Patisserie Cafe, and pet-friendly Malt’s Cafe (for dogs), the resort has something for everyone! Amalfi is their casual all-day-dining restaurant, which serves Italian-Mediterranean cuisine, and drinks. They offer a buffet breakfast every day but are particularly popular for their Sunday brunch buffet spreads. Frangipani is a little more formal than Amalfi, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a multi-cuisine menu. It’s a great first-date destination and we specifically love their extremely popular dinner service. We recommend you book your table in advance. Xanadu is Ambrosia’s happening outdoor bar, with a short and concise menu of finger-food and drinks (cocktails, mocktails, and more). Ambrosia Patisserie Cafe serves both hot and cold desserts and is known for their speciality coffee. Take your four-legged fur-baby to Malt’s Cafe for a treat – their dog play-ground and dog-special menu are just what your pet needs.

Anything Else?

Ambrosia Resort is accessible by road, located on the outskirts of Pune, towards Khadakwasla. We suggest you call and book your room/table in advance, as they can get quite crowded in the evenings and on weekends. Follow them on Facebook for all their latest updates, and reach them at +91 98196 90181 for your bookings.
