Started by theatrician, Narendra Sachar and FTII alumna, Maya Rao, Art Etc at Gaekwad Nagar in Aundh, is all about indigenous handcrafted art made out of natural resources like vegetables, clay, wood, fibre and palm leaves, sourced directly from artisans across the country.

Tell Me More

Started in 2011, the main motive behind Art Etc was to market the best work of Indian artisans sans the hindrance from middlemen. Every product on display is an exclusive creation of an artisan, combining intricate designs and elegant detailing. Striking a balance between contemporary and traditional, Art Etc displays a range of products from terracotta artefacts to beaded wallets and jackets, leather diaries, handmade paper, knick-knacks in woodwork and metalwork, shawls and bed linen in gorgeous block prints and hand painted blue pottery, all the way from Jaipur and Jodhpur.

We particularly loved the hand-knotted woollen carpets and cotton durries in pastel shades and geometrical shades, starting at INR 950. Sex up your daily wear with their collection of quirky yet classy jutis in turquoise, tan brown and mustard yellow, starting at INR 500.

Starting at INR 699, the Bollywood-inspired collection of bags, fabric and jewellery, featuring techniques like collage, patchwork, decoupage and spray painting, is absolute love! We were also impressed with their extraordinarily handcrafted and hand-polished marble decor featuring carved statues, busts, candle stands, lamps and furniture, starting at INR 800.

So, We're Saying...

Replete with everything awesome and pretty, Art Etc is a hidden gem if you’re looking for an antiquated art-piece or a unique home decor. But more than a shopping experience, Art Etc is a noble idea to bring back the long-lost homegrown art and culture.
