Iddos in Kothrud brings to us {Pune peeps} authentic and delish South Indian taste from the cultural land of Dravidian civilization.
Kick-started its operations in 2014, Iddos first opened its doors in Kothrud and now has expanded to two other parts of town - Pimple Saudagar and Baner. Each of the outlets is done up in simple white and black interiors, with both having indoor and outdoor seating.
Their menu includes a mix of two - their version of some old time classics as well as some new innovative South Indian dishes. Something that really grabs your attention when you are about to get your order is the plates that you will be served in, - shaped like a banana leaf. On the plate is placed an actual banana leaf. The order comes with three different chutneys.
Some of my favourites here are - Podi idli, Idiyappam - these are string hoppers served with stew, Mysore masala dosa, onion chilli uttapam and vada platter where you get a mix of four varieties of vadas.
