What Makes It Awesome?

Saudade Veg by Ratnam is the new place for Punekars to enjoy authentic Varadhi style cuisine. Despite it is been new in town but they do have experience in catering and serving people in Akola for almost 26years said to be the key player in that region.

The restaurant spread around 1600sq.ft combining both dine-in and open space sitting area and variety of cuisine serves to there customer. The place is all day open for the open area serving breakfast, fast food and beverages. While fine dine is open for lunch and dinner.
As the hotel focus on Varadhi style, they soon going to introduce Puran Poli and Mahalaxmi Thali and other regional dishes. But for now, we got some of the dishes which really thrill and surprised us as this meets with beyond expectations.

PINA COLADA
The balanced combination of pineapple syrup and coconut milk perfect smooth and balance in sweet. Can give a try.

LITCHI LIME
The litchi syrup, dash of lime juice with soda and pinch of black salt just a refreshing drink, can go for it. Personally, I liked it.
Can also go for Fruit Punchh and Blue Corraco

MASALA PAPAD:
Well, fried regular papad topped with finely chopped onions and tomatoes with chat masala has a unique taste with some crushed crunchy sev. The best way to start meals. Don’t forget to order.
Green salad is also recommended.

Heading to appetizer
PANEER KURKURE:
The deep-fried soft paneer finger coated with batter and crushed Papad later pan tossed with Scezhwan Sauce is just drooled over serves along with extra sauce which is mildly sweet and later heat up the palates with unique flavors. Well done Chef! Must give a try.

CHEESE CIGAR ROLLS:
The spring rolls stuffed with grated cheese and Paneer with those spicy did good work, up comes with grated cabbage medium spicy and crispy outside, the sweet and spicy sauce supported well, much appreciated. Do try this. As moving to the main course, it was time for some regional and there own innovative dishes.

PANEER SELFIE:
The paneer sandwich with spicy stuffing shallow fry serves along with thick medium spicy red gravy, sure to keep you eating on. I highly recommend it.

PANEER MIRCH MASALA:
Just another lovely dish, thick, creamy and full of flavor yellow gravy combined well with soft paneer and capsicum julienne medium spicy in taste can feel the spiciness of green chilies. Just go for it.

DAL MAKHANI:
I had Dal Makhani at various but here it is unique. The reach and creamy dal with perfect cooked black urad dal and rajma with ginger julienne, just on the next level. No more words to describe, I just loved it.

CHEESE ANGOORI:
The soft cheese kofta cooked in dense and creamy green gravy, mildly sweet with spicy touch not greasy at all, very well. Just have it.

PANEER KALEJI WITH RASSA:
Sounds new for me and a surprising one comes with tikka sized paneer and rassa bowl. Tikka sized paneer cooked with the same spices used to marination, spicy and little rusty up but soft paneer, goes well with Rassa. The perfect balance of spices had that desired tarri on it, just like Mutton Rassa ready to give comfort to your taste buds. Great job by Chef and reason to appreciate him. Just wow factor, it must be ordered.

PATODI:
One of the special from Varhadi kitchen is Patodi and I just loved it. The onion and dry coconut based gravy with those tarri on top cooked with that soft patodi in it just on another level. No second thought for this dish just orders it.

Bread served along with the main course were Laccha Paratha, Tandoori Roti, Roti, and Butter Naan. Tandoori Roti was good but butter naan was too thick.

VEG BIRYANI:
The long grain basmati rice cooked along with bite-size cauliflower, mushroom, paneer, and other veggies, well balanced with spice and not that spicy but sure to give flavor to palates after having it. On the honest note, I’m on the side who believes that Veg Biryani is a myth but still this Biryani really leave a good impression.

DESSERT:
After such a meal dessert is mandatory. Gajar Halwa and Gulab Jamun with hot chocolate are just good. Gulab Jamun was soft and had raisins between in it topped with hot chocolate personally I liked it, Gajar Halwa is moist and warm balance sweet, perfect for this winter days. Moong Dal and dry fruit halwa need to be upgraded from my prescription.

Apart from this, you can also have North Indian, Tandoori item and Indo Chinese dishes along with other refreshing mocktails at dining in section, while Pav Bhaji, Chat, South Indian and beverages served all day in the open sitting area serve.

The ambiance of dining in the area is vibrant and cozy. The cane basket wall lamps and cane chairs sitting make it unique, while the open area has comfortable chairs and tables.

So if you are looking or want to explore the authentic Varadhi style food then this is the right place to check-in, make sure to visit this place.
