What Makes It Awesome

After Asian, Maharashtrian and American eateries, Balewadi High Street, much to our delight, included Parsi cuisine to strengthen its versatility as a food stretch. Say hi to, Rustom Battliwala, the newest Indo-Parsi-Iranian restaurant in town that has been making news for all the right reasons.

Like any other Parsi eatery, Rustom Battliwala too has a traditional look - arched colourful glass panes, crystal chandeliers, old-school tables and chairs and a counter decked up with Ardeshir's cold drinks and jars full of lozenges.

Food-wise the place has all the classics; from Salli Margi to mutton kheema pav, mawa cake and more. Must try their special berry pulao, which is saffron flavoured rice with mutton, chicken dhansak, Patra Ni Machi and of course, the Margi Na Farcha, which is Parsi-style fried chicken legs. For desserts, don't forget to try the custard and the flaming gulab jamuns.
