Pune Folks! Get Aunthentic Bento Boxes, Sushi & Other Japanese Delicacies

There are a very few places in the city that serve delicious Japanese dishes. Ginkgo in Kothrud is one of them. From authentic bento boxes to sushi, miso soup to ramen, everything from their kitchen will tickle your tastebuds. Make a note that they are delivering across the city. 

Started by two 23-year-olds, Ginkgo serves amazing Asian fare, especially Japanese.Try out authentic dishes like tofu/clam/crab miso soup, silken tofu goame salad, Ebiten California roll, salmon roll, Taiwan and Tonkotsu Ramen etc. Being a vegetarian, I tried the tofu miso soup that surprisingly was full of flavours and absolutely amazing. After that, I relished the tomato broth ramen that's perfect if you are feeling under the weather. The star dish was the vegetarian bento box. With crispy patties, loads of greens and lipsmacking dressing, the dish is an absolute delight. I love veg sushi which is why I tried the Sanshoku California Roll. They also make mock tuna sushi!! I topped the meal with Japanese cotton Cheesecake that was super fluffy.

Keep an eye out for their fundraisers where they donate all their profits for COVID welfare. All you have to do to be the Good Samaritan is to order food from there and enjoy it (sounds easy, doesn't it).

Price: An elaborate meal for two comprising soup, appetizer, mains and dessert will come up between INR 1,800-2,000.
