What Makes It Awesome?

A little sweet indulgence during the weekend never hurts. No, it isn't about a new dessert parlour that we discovered, rather a unique spa treatment that's giving our favourite cheesecake a whole new dimension.

The 75-minute Turkish blueberry cheesecake full body massage at The Nature Spa at SB Road near JW Marriott has got our attention and here's why. At first, we were quite skeptical about this treatment, wondering if it will be worth the hype? Will they use real cheesecake on our body? Will it do any good for the skin? Answers - Yes, no and a big YES!

The Nature Spa in itself is quite luxurious - soft beige tone on the walls, plush white furniture, the intoxicating aroma of scented candles and the soothing therapeutic music on the loop. We were warmly greeted by the spa-in-charge who ran us through all their exclusive treatments, which, by the way, also included the Hamam or the Turkish bath. Our choice was simple - the blueberry cheesecake therapy.

They started off with a 15-minute steam to open up the pores. Next, we were escorted to the actual spa room which was already prepped up with exotic orchids on the bed, scented candles and soft music to set the mood. Coming to the treatment, they used three products, that had been curated especially for the therapy - a scrub that looks like cheese cream, a blueberry essence gel, and some hot oil. First, they started with the scrub that helped exfoliate the skin. The best part, according to us, was when they applied hot oil for the final deep-tissue massage. If you have a bad backache or tension in your shoulders, trust us, this is exactly what you need.

The last step was moisturising the skin with blueberry-flavoured gel, that sort of felt like a cold fresh mask on the skin. The entire treatment is priced at INR 3,199 {exclusive of taxes} and went on for 75 minutes. Also, this ended with a warm herbal tea, which we absolutely loved.

Now, if blueberry essence is not your thing, we recommend you try the chocolate fondue therapy instead. It's basically the same treatment, but with dark chocolate essence.

Anything Else?

Need some TLC for the feet? How about The Nature Spa's 45-minute Virgin mojito treatment, priced at INR 1,699, with a sugar scrub, fresh mint, lime and essential oils.
