What Makes It Awesome

A self-taught and passionate jewellery maker, Anuskha Pawar is changing the imitation jewellery game in Pune, one earring at a time.

What started out as a hobby during one summer break, Pawar's Boxed Charms now has made place in the wardrobes of number of girls across the country. The online store has a beautiful collection of customised imitation jewellery for women.

Sourcing a major chuck of her raw material for the jewellery from Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai, Boxed Charm accepts orders via their Instagram and Facebook pages. The store uses this raw material sourced from across the country and creates finer pieces of jewellery that you can flaunt anywhere.

Pawar tells us that the first piece she ever created was an amulet that was made from a earring who's pair was missing. Since then, she has been exploring the back of jewellery store where discarded pieces are kept. She uses these pieces and turns them into a creative piece of jewellery.

Boxed charm has a number of pieces in artificial silver and gold. The store's specialisation is in silver. You will find traditional jhumkas along with contemporary ones and then comes our favourite kind, a mix of traditional and contemporary. There are Kashmir jhumkas, meenakari work jhumkas, long latkans and all possible styles.

The store has a good collection of necklaces as well. You will find tassels, charms, mirrored pendants and many other patterns. If you want chokers, even those can be made-to-order from here.

Although currently Boxed Charms has jewellery starting at a mere INR 50, they will soon be introducing a higher range of products and we are very excited to see this upcoming collection as well!

Apart from jewellery, the store also has a cool collection of key chains. And if there's anything particular that you want made, even that could be done.

What Could Be Better

We would love to see Boxed Charms expanding into customised accessories for men too.
