If you haven't heard of or eaten at South House, you must. The restaurant serves your south staples but also has an offbeat take on the food. On the menu, you'll find a small selection of crazy dosa combos.
We found butter chicken dosa, where butter chicken masala is tucked inside a lacy, crisp dosa (picture for representation only). And, there are many more such items that you could try if you love stuffing dosas with meats. The menu offers prawn balchao dosa and hara kheema masala dosa, kheema ghotala uttapam, chicken tikka uttapam, Thai chicken uttapam and other such items. But, here's a catch: You'll only find this fusion menu between 11 AM to 3 PM.
Apart from their fusion dishes, South House has a number of other mains you could dig into. The chicken gassi, chicken tom yum karampodi, ghee roast chicken are recommended by the management. Vegetarians, you've got to order paneer podi, kundapuri subzi among other dishes. And you'll also find North Indian mains paired with South Indian breads (think: paneer bhurji and appam).
South House also serves a delicious dessert menu on which you'll find items like Madras cafe moussecake, which is a regular moussecake with a thick layer of coffee powder to give you that sweet yet bitter kick. And, there's a chocolate dosa roll too.
A meal for two will cost you INR 700 and the food will make you want to come back for more.
