There's nothing better than enjoying the scenic beauty in Lonavla, the view from Tiger Point with some garma garam pakoras! - Or so one thinks. Ride down the hill and near Bushi Dam, along INS Shivaji Road, you'll come across a row of ceramic ware shops. Each shop here is a wonderland - a burst of colours and patterns that overwhelm (and confuse) you on what and how much to take home- it's all so pretty, AND, dirt cheap!!
That's right! Walk inside the shops and you'll come across pretty innovative colourful planters of all shapes and sizes, (including animal patterns!) tea pots, saucers, bowls, cutlery, mugs, pen stands and what not?!
We were especially amazed by the collection of balcony garden or patio decor- in one corner, we could see pretty little water fountains, ceramic diffusers and ceramic bells which tinkled with the sweetest sounds! The cartoon tea cups and the fondue bowls were another favourite. A bit of haggling, and almost 5-6 items were bought within Rs. 1100!
