This Idol Of Ganpati Will Wear A 9.5-Kg Gold Crown & Jewellery Worth Over INR 15 Crores

Celebrating 125 years of Ganeshotsav, Pune’s Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati wears gold jewellery worth over INR 15 crore and a 9.5 kg crown, crafted exclusively by PNG Jewellers along with goldsmiths from Maharastra, West Bengal and Karnataka.

The temple authorities at Dagdusheth is making it big this Ganpati! 40-kg jewellery and a stunning crown aside, the theme of the year is a replica of Brahmanaspati temple! Built by architect Vivek Khatavkar and his team, the temple is 90-feet tall and is decorated with magnificent chandeliers and 1.25 lakh pearl coloured lights.

As for security measures, there are 150 CCTV cameras installed in and around the temple. A private security of 250 personnel have been deployed over and above the police force.
