How Do I Get There?

Sandhan Valley is nearly five hours away by road. If you’re looking to avoid the road trip, take the train to bound to Kasara {but do book in advance}. From there, you can drive down to Samrad village {approx. 80 kms away} which is the base village for the trek.

Only during the monsoon time, a rare phenomenon comes to life in this valley. Also known as ‘the reverse waterfall’, it forms during heavy monsoon period. Owing to the high pressure winds, the water starts to flow back – upwards. If you stand at the top, behind the guarded railing from where the waterfall begins, you’ll be drenched and how.

It makes for a gorgeous outing, photo ops and trek. Since the waterfall comes alive only during the monsoon period, make sure to go there during this time.
