Boots, Camo Tops & More: Our 6 Trendy Buys From Fashion Street For As Low As INR 70

Fashion Street is a set of small lanes, located just between {and parallel to} East Street and MG Road in Camp. A mini market, you can find all kinds of clothing and accessories here- from watches and sunglasses, to maxi dresses, handbags, and even boots. We scoured the tiny lanes of Fashion Street and found 6 pocket-friendly buys to supplement your wardrobe.

Shoes

Right at the entrance of the market, we found trendy black heeled booties for INR 500, and glitter platform sneakers {ideal for pairing with your favourite summer dress} for INR 400. We know winter is on its way out, but further inside the market, we also came across calf-length and knee-length boots, starting at INR 2,200, and cute fluffy slippers for INR 300.

Pants

Jazz up your outfit with a pair of striped leggings – which we found for just INR 200 – or opt for more comfy, palazzo-style pants – also for INR 200.

Dresses

There were a lot of stalls selling the same or similar dresses – both in short skater-cut and longer maxi-length. We found pretty floral printed summer dresses priced between INR 850 and INR 1,150 {you really have to bargain here}. For a more formal occasion, we also found elegant but solid-hued floor-length dresses for
INR 1,950.

Earrings

Further into Fashion Street, we found a nice jewellery vendor with earrings that would be perfect for daily wear. Take your pick from neon tassel-style earrings, a cute trio of studs, or our favourite pick – gold hoops with little owls on them, priced at INR 70 each.

Denim Dungarees

Just in time for summer – pick up a pair of denim dungarees from Fashion Street. Available in different shades, distressed and with varying patterns – dungaree shorts were priced at INR 550, and full-length ones between INR 650 – 700.

Camo Crop Tops

After much hunting, we came across a t-shirt vendor who had camouflage-patterned crop tops for just INR 200. We think it would make for a quirky addition to any wardrobe, and might even pair well with your new dungarees!

Anything Else?

The shopkeepers expect you to bargain – it’s all part of the experience! The same item will be priced more expensive near the front of the market, and can be found for a cheaper cost once you make your way to the inner lanes. Wear comfy shoes, and carry a cross-body bag so that you can keep your hands free for browsing.

#LBBTip

Fashion Street is located in the same lane as Cafe Grand, just off East Street – one lane after 1000 Oaks resto-bar. It’s a set of small lanes on the right-hand side of the lane, and the entry-way is lined with stalls selling jewellery, shoes, watches, etc. If you have trouble finding the entrance, just ask someone to direct you to it.
