Ten-Second Takeaway

We love the convenience and kooky food of food trucks: here are the best ones in Pune you’ve gotta drive down to.

Mexican Rodeo

If you’re in the mood for something different, without a compromise on spice – hit up Mexican Rodeo. From burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and nachos; to special Tortilla-based gun-fired pizzas, and slurpy shakes – take your pick. Usually parked in Viman Nagar every day, they also have an on-ground outlet in Aundh. People have sung praise of their flavourful quesadillas, tacos, and 7-layer burrito bowl – so if you’re a first-timer, start there.

Location: Viman Nagar, next to Maruti Nexa Showroom.

#LBBTip: The spice levels can be a bit intense, so let them know your preference beforehand.

Buddha's Food Palace

Banking on the popularity and comfort of Thai food, Buddha’s Food Palace is the only food truck in town serving it exclusively. Their starters, mains, and noodle bowls are just brimming with Thai goodness, and portion sizes are quite generous. You can get your hands on these from Tuesday to Sunday, at NIBM Road. Go for their Veg Pad Thai, Basil Chicken with rice, and Thai BBQ skewers – word is they’re lip-smacking good.

Location: NIBM Road, Opp. Bizbay Mall/Gold’s Gym.

#LBBTip: Skip the long line and order home delivery from them if you live around Wanowrie, Undri, or NIBM.

Rastaman Soul Food

Rastaman Soul Food Truck is all about comfort food. The usual burgers, sandwiches, pasta, dessert and refreshments featured on their menu are served up with a heap of TLC, if you don’t mind the calories. Set up across from the F&B hub that is Balewadi High Street, daily {except Mondays}; we advise you to go there on an empty stomach. Their Soul Burger and Cheezy Paradise {with extra bacon} sound tempting enough for us to hop on over for a bite right away!

Location: Opposite Balewadi High Street, Baner

#LBBTip: It’s a great place to pre-game with friends before a night on the town – with music that’s as groovy as their food!

Last but not least, is the L’Dorado Food Truck in Aundh. Their menu features the staple favourites with an innovative L’Dorado twist. Prawn Sukka Fries, Batter Fried Sausages, and home-made Ginger Ale are among the popular items; along with varieties of nachos, chicken wings, burgers, meaty grills, and dessert. Head to Aundh {Tuesday closed} for some seriously indulgent food. It all sounds incredibly delicious and we can’t wait to try one of everything!

Location: Aundh-Baner Link Road, Near Banana Leaf/Medipoint Hospital in Aundh

#LBBTip: They’ve just introduced an all-new menu, so now is the perfect time to go check them out.
