Anything Else?

One of the best forts in Satara, it holds an important place in the hearts of Punekars. Trekking at Ajinkyatara Fort is recommended for novice trekkers and those who love road trips and long drives. Located at a distance of 115 km from Pune, reaching there shouldn’t be a problem. You can also ask the locals for the route to Adalat Wada making your journey easier. At a height of 3300 feet, you’ll be welcomed with a breathtaking view atop the fort. There’s also a Satara TV Tower installed at the fort owing to its height. It will take around an hour to reach the top from the base, Ajinkyatara Village {Satara}. You can also stay at the fort in Hanuman Temple, which is capable of accommodating 12 to 15 people at once. There are a lot of places near Ajinkyatara that make up for sight seeing, Sajjangadh Fort at 3500ft, Chandan Vandan, a hill top and trekking destination and Kalyangadh fort, again a sight for trekking. It takes a day to complete the whole of Ajinkyatara trekking. We’d recommend you take along water and snacks.

So, We're Saying...
