What Makes It Awesome

Get your daily dose of healthy plant-based meals and gourmet dishes from Granny's Bowl, a vegan home kitchen based out of Nana Peth. The kitchen was conceptualised by Jaya Rai, a graphic-design/teacher who turned into a veganpreneur to start this venture.

After extensive research on plant-based recipes and diets, Rai started Granny's Bowl (the name is a tribute to her grandmother who loved to cook) in 2016. Now the kitchen specialises in mock meat biryanis and tikkas, Tofu Zinger Burger (my favourite), Vegan Tiramisu, and Mac n Cheese. They have also added smoothies and natural spreads to their menu. Options include vegan Cheddar Cheese Spread, Ajvar (roasted pepper sauce), Coriander Pesto, Sundried Tomato Pesto, Beet Dip.

You can opt for their daily Indian meal plan for INR 150 per day, where they will serve you 30 different meals for 30 different days. The menu comprises gluten-free rotis, protein-rich curry, and loads of veggies. Starting at INR 150 a piece, they have vegan desserts such as doughnuts, payasam, cheesecakes, cupcakes, cakes, crepes, bars, and rolls. You can also order breakfast items such as vegan cheese toasts, veggie sticks with dips, scrambled tofu on toast, hotdog, and omelettes. A meal for two comes up to INR 1200.

They also cater to gluten-free, sugar-free, and oil-free requests. We love that only seasonal veggies and fruits go into making the dishes and everything is made to order. Make a note that you need to place an order two days in advance. You can do so by calling them or through

Pro-Tip

They also provide private catering for family dinners or get-togethers.
