Viman Nagar is a culinary cornucopia, with a new eatery or restaurant almost everywhere you turn. Though there are plenty of popular, big-name places to keep your hunger satiated – here are 5 lesser-known ones for you to check out.

Marhaba

Newly opened Marhaba by Chef Rajesh boasts a menu of both Lebanese and Indian cuisine. Hot/cold mezze and hummus platters, rolls, grills, beverages, and even a special veg/non-veg thali menu – it’s an appetizing assortment of dishes. We think the spicy chicken shawarma hummus platter, cottage cheese harissa skewers, and dajaj harra roll sound like a good place to start with their Lebanese section. For a more substantial meal-in-one, the Royal non-veg thali with butter chicken masala, mix veg, dal tadka, jeera rice, lachcha paratha/roti/naan and sides of salad, raita, papad, pickle, and a soft drink {complimentary} also sounds really delicious. Located next to Sky Max at Datta Mandir Chowk, they also offer home delivery to nearby locations.

#LBBTip: They also offer student discounts if you carry and show them your student ID card.

The Cone Connection

Another newbie to Viman Nagar, The Cone Connection doesn’t serve what you’d expect. You’ll find no ice cream on the menu here – only savoury veg and non-veg saucy fillings, stuffed in crisp waffle cones. Choose from chicken/potato garlic poppers, BBQ chicken, Cajun fries, chilli fried chicken/baby corn, mac n cheese, or fish n chips for your filling, and top it with Nashville/BBQ/Cajun/cheese sauce for the perfect bite. Priced between INR 130 – 150, one waffle cone is generously portioned enough to fill two people. Everything from the fillings to the sauces and the colourful savoury waffle cones is made fresh and in-house, every day. Open from 11am – 11pm, Monday to Sunday; you can find The Cone Connection next to The Belgian Waffle Co. at Datta Mandir Chowk in Viman Nagar.

E'Hide Cafe

E’Hide Cafe is true to their name, ‘hidden’ away within an actual general store opposite Symbiosis International School. Open 24-hrs, they offer round-the-clock home delivery, and limited dine-in space as well. Their extensive menu features an eclectic mix of dishes – from breakfast items to burgers and sandwiches, Indian and Chinese fare, beverages, and desserts. If you have time to try only one thing, make it one of their milkshakes, or a cup of hot chocolate. There’s something for everyone, the prices are pocket-friendly, and the grub is good. E’Hide Cafe is ideal for a small group-hang with your buddies, and also for ordering your late-night munchies from. You’re welcome!

Cafe Mestizo

Cafe Mestizo is a casual eatery, featuring a multi-cuisine menu, and an all-day dining. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, a quick coffee, or just dessert – there are plenty of options to choose from. We’ve heard good things about their butter chicken pizza, ‘Mestizo {not so} Messy’ shakes and their pull-apart garlic bread. Open from 9.30am until midnight, they also offer late-night delivery for their pizzas, burgers, and biryanis. Located in a quiet pocket of Viman Nagar, it’s the ideal setting for a lazy lunch or just grabbing munchies and dessert with your squad.
