I have been going to this hidden spot tucked under the trees by the lake since 2009. Owned and operated by Sanjay & Astrid Rao & Sunith their son.
Sanjay & Astrid started paragliding flights at kamshet 20 years ago and their semi-homestay called Native Place opened its doors in 2004.
Astrid manages the Native place, while Sanjay and Sunith are busy in the paragliding school Nirvana adventures and paragliding.
The native place is home to Paragliders from around the world & also to nature enthusiasts.
They practically grow all needed veggies and crops on their farm, seriously proper organic & permaculture methods. They also conduct courses on permaculture, natural dye making, yoga and other forms of arts and entertainment.
Once a month native place and easydoesitinc organise a fun weekend with live music, treks, lake swims, nature-based workshops, yoga and lot more.
One can just plonk into the hammocks with a book or pair of binoculars and watch various birds come to feed on the fruit trees or a nice post-lunch nap. There are easy to do treks starting right from the property, less then a minute walk to the lake for sunsets or those summer afternoon swims.
Every Saturday night they have a BBQ on the rooftop where you connect with Paragliders and folks from around the world, exchange stories of adventures and funny episodes.
In these two decades, the place has seen a generation grow around it, trees have grown huge and give a natural canopy to the camping grounds.
One can opt to stay in the Dorms/tents/rooms/cottages etc. Pre-booking online is needed.
They have a fun Holi weekend planned from March 22nd to 24th, workshops on Terrariums, natural Holi colours, live music performance and a quick course in the Art of doing nothing.
