We’re certain you love street food as much as we do and what makes it the best kind of indulgence is that it satisfies your hunger without burning a hole in your pocket. Here are some of our favourite stalls and dishes at the khao galli which is located opposite the Symbiosis Infotech Campus in Hinjewadi Phase 1.

Pani Puri From Dev Narayan Cold Pani Puri

We stopped by at the Dev Narayan Cold Pani Puri stall and were amazed to find six different variants of flavoured pani. While you can choose from lemon, jeera, pudina, lasun, hajmola and regular, he’d be happy to give you each of your six with the different kinds of water. Each plate has 6 pani puris and will cost you just INR 20. Our favourites were the lemon and the pudina pani.

Kulfi From Sharma Kulfi Ice Cream

If you’re looking for a great dessert, stop by at Sharma Kulfi Ice Cream for some fresh kulfi. They have a number of flavours to choose from and you can either get your kulfi diced or on a stick. We ordered the mango and it cost us INR 20. The kulfi was well prepared and milky, without having a very over-bearing taste. If you have guests coming over, you can also take kulfi by the kilo with a kilo coming for INR 200.

Litti Chokha From Litticious

Want to treat your tastebuds to something different, order a plate of hot litte chokha from Litticous, which is dough balls made up of roasted and spiced whole wheat flour and stuffed with sattu {roasted chickpea flour} served with aloo bharta. A plate will cost you INR 30, but the more-than sufficient amount of ghee will ensure your hunger gets satisfied.

Shawarma

We also tried shawarma from one of the stalls in the khao galli {there are two, so sick the one you like}. The shawarma we got had a satisfying serving of mayo, chicken, veggies and was even made with the bread, khubus. One shawarma costs INR 50 and this was one of our favourites eats at the khao galli.

Masala Dudh from Jai Ganesh Masala Dudh

If you’re looking for a yummy drink to wash down all that you’ve hogged on. Get yourself a glass of hot masala dudh from Jai Ganesh Masala Dudh. Made with spices and a lot of cream, this treat comes for INR 20 a glass.
