What Makes It Awesome

Cafe Hormuz is a cozy joint in the heart of Viman Nagar and serves up some unique Irani, Parsi, and Indian dishes. I absolutely loved their Parsi Papeta Par Edu,. Not sure if the dish is authentic or not, but it tasted absolutely amazing. A nice base of shallow-fried potatoes with onions and spices topped with a well cooked egg. I asked for toast to go with it, but the staff recommended a paratha. It was a good choice considering the egg dish was dry. The paratha was made with minimal oil. And this was priced at just INR 45. VFM is the word! I also tried their Methi Parathas : 2 flaky parathas served with butter and achaar for just INR 70. No complaints at all! Don't forget to try the traditional Bun Maska here, which is served with thick layer of butter!

What Could Be Better?

Their chai didn't work for me. We tried the Ginger as well as the Irani Chai. Both were lukewarm and didn't give that satisfaction that a well made cup of chai usually comes with.

Anything Else?

I'll surely be visiting Cafe Hormuz lot more times to try their other Parsi delicacies. Ohh and they also do home delivery!
