One such new addition is Kathputli - The Drunken Puppet, behind Balewadi High Street. The area has become the new hub for a lot of party-goers for over a year now, so a new addition is always welcome.
This small bar and lounge has an interesting vibe to it. As soon as you enter you’ll see a lot of Rajasthani influence on the walls and tables - doing justice to the name. The seating arrangement is simple and there are also private corners for big groups.
When it comes to food, you will get all kinds of cuisines. We tried their fish fingers, thecha chicken kebab and paneer Peshawari kebabs for starters. The chicken and the fish fingers were filled with flavour while the panner lacked some.
They have a vast main course that you can try out if you are looking for something more filling. We went for assorted breads, murg Maratha and their signature dish - lala musa dal, which was absolutely delicious and rich.
They have a fully-stocked bar where you can find all your favourite liquor brands and also try some potent and delicious cocktails. We loved their long island iced tea and the blue lagoon a lot. A meal for two at Kathputli will cost you around INR 1,200 with alcohol.
